The Soundcheck iRadio Network
Established in 1995 by broadcast veteran Kenneth (Special K) Spellman. The network has six stations and looking to add a few more in the coming months. Here is the station lineup:
- The Soundcheck – Plays new releases, classic hits from the R&B and Pop genres
- The Groove – An eclectic blend of pure jazz, urban ac, pop ac and chill vibes
- The Cypher – Strictly Hip-Hop with explicit content
- Island Vibes – A blend of Caribbean and Latin music
- The Blast – Your party station, playing dance, house and DJ mixes
- Spiritual Vibes – A mixture of gospel and contemporary christian music

Started his career as a DJ and gained international notoriety while serving abroad in the military. His first radio gig was in Biloxi, Mississippi at WQFX-FM under the guidance of Al Jenkins. While in the Biloxi/Gulfport area Ken completed his degree in broadcasting and was also instrumental in the launch of WJZD-FM where he assisted owner Rip Daniels with his automation system setup. Ken relocated to Las Vegas where he joined KCEP-FM (a non commercial station) as the Music Director and held down the midday shift. Next stop was back to his hometown New York City where he went to work for Radio Computing Services (RCS), an industry leader in broadcast technology. In his position as a technical support engineer he assisted radio programmers worldwide in the use of RCS software. in 1999 Ken joined Sirius Radio as Program Manager – R&B Division where he oversaw the eight R&B stations. Ken was instrumental in hiring of the talent as well as training the staff and programmers. In 2003 Ken took on the role of personal manager to DJ Grandmaster Flash, Dana Dane, and Chubb Rock. That led Ken to open his Talent Management & Booking Division. Ken is also the VP of Special Projects for MDI Distribution and a partner in Noizemaka Music.
